In plain words

Through the Guru's Word, the five restless pulls inside me grow still.

Standing in awe of the vast One, I become clear and clean.

The Perfect Guru is like a magic stone that turns iron to gold — meeting the Guru, that touch shows me the One.

Meeting the Guru is a touch that turns iron to gold, and the restless pulls grow still.
The deeper layer

Through the Shabad the panch dhaatoo — the five restless inner pulls (craving, anger, greed, clinging, pride) — grow still. Standing in bhai, awe of the vast One, one becomes nirmal, pure. Meeting the Perfect Guru is like touching the paaras, the Philosopher's Stone that turns iron to gold: that touch transforms and reveals the One.

A Question to Sit With

Which restless pull inside you would you most like to see grow calm?
