ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
karan karaavanhaar su-aamee.
The Lord and Master is the Doer, the Cause of causes.
ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
sagal ghataa kay antarjaamee.
He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਸੋ ਜਿਨਾ ॥੮॥
kar kirpaa jis bhagtee laavhu janam padaarath so jinaa. ||8||
That person, whom You bless with Your Grace, and link to Your devotional service, wins this invaluable human life. ||8||

The One knows what is inside every heart, mine included.
And whoever You bless with Your grace and draw into loving devotion wins this precious human life.
Whoever the One draws into loving devotion wins the gift of a human life.
The One is karan karaavanhaar, the Doer and cause of causes, and antarjaamee, the knower of every heart. Whoever the One draws into bhagti, loving devotion, wins the janam padaarath — the treasure of a human life. The turn from cosmic litany to inner gift begins here.
