ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਹਉ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਕੀਤਾ ॥
too saahib ha-o sayvak keetaa.
You are my Lord and Master; You have made me Your servant.
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਦੀਤਾ ॥
jee-o pind sabh tayraa deetaa.
My soul and body are all gifts from You.
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਸਭੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਤੂਹੈ ਹੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਅਸਾੜਾ ॥੧॥
karan karaavan sabh toohai toohai hai naahee kichh asaarhaa. ||1||
You are the Creator, the Cause of causes; nothing belongs to me. ||1||

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.
You are my Master, and You have made me the one who serves You.
My life and my body are both gifts I was handed by You.
You are the one who acts and the one who sets everything in motion; nothing here belongs to me.
Almost nothing you have did you make; most of it, you were handed.
Gratitude, and owning nothing at all. 'Karan karaavan' (the doer and the cause of doing) places all agency with the One; 'naahee kichh asaarhaa' (nothing is mine) is emptiness of ego, freely given.
