ਆਪੇ ਸੂਰਾ ਅਮਰੁ ਚਲਾਇਆ ॥
aapay sooraa amar chalaa-i-aa.
You Yourself are the hero, exerting Your regal power.
ਆਪੇ ਸਿਵ ਵਰਤਾਈਅਨੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਠਾਰੁ ਗੜਾ ॥੧੩॥
aapay siv vartaa-ee-an antar aapay seetal thaar garhaa. ||13||
You Yourself spread peace within; You are cool and icy calm. ||13||

You are called the source of every strength.
You are the brave one whose steady power moves through everything.
And You are also the one who spreads calm inside us, cool and quiet as a still, cold pool.
Strength is often the quietest thing in the room.
Power and peace are two faces of the same One. 'Sooraa' (the hero) is strength, and right beside it comes 'seetal thaar' (cool, icy calm).
