Verse 15 of 16

Too Vast for Paper

keemat kaagad kahee na jaa-ee.
His value cannot be described on paper.
kaho naanak bay-ant gusaa-ee.
Says Nanak, the Lord of the world is infinite.
aad maDh ant parabh so-ee haath tisai kai naybayrhaa. ||15||
In the beginning, in the middle and in the end, God exists. Judgement is in His Hands alone. ||15||

In plain words

No sheet of paper could ever hold what You are worth.

Nanak says, the Keeper of the world has no edges at all.

In the beginning, the middle, and the end, the One is there, and the final word is in those hands alone.

Some things are too big to write down; you can only trust them.
The deeper layer

No page is big enough for the One. 'Keemat kaagad kahee na jaaee': no paper can hold His worth. Beginning, middle and end, 'haath tisai kai naybayrhaa', the final word rests in the One's hands.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you trust even though you cannot fully explain it?
