Night and day, I practice true devotional worship; I am united with the True Lord. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

By great good fortune, O mother, I found the Guru. It was written for me.

Now, day and night, I practice loving devotion with a full heart.

And in that devotion I feel joined, close and glad, to the True One.

Finding the Guru is a quiet, life-changing blessing.
The deeper layer

Finding the Guru is a gift, and it changes everything.

Vadbhaagee means by great good fortune. The verse sees this meeting as grace, not something we earned. Poorab likhi-aa means it was written long ago, meant to be. The poet even turns to his mother, maa-ay, to share the good news.

Then comes the fruit: sachee bhagat, true loving devotion, day and night. That devotion joins the heart to the True One. Think of the one teacher who made a hard subject finally click for you. That meeting was a quiet blessing. We receive it with thanks.
