The Player of Every Part

aapay gopee aapay kaanaa.
He Himself is the milk-maid, and He Himself is Krishna.
aapay ga-oo charaavai baanaa.
He Himself grazes the cows in the forest.
aap upaaveh aap khapaaveh tuDh layp nahee ik til rangaa. ||15||
You Yourself create, and You Yourself destroy. Not even a particle of filth attaches to You. ||15||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One is the singer and the One is the song; the One plays every part in the whole story, even the herder and the herd.

It makes worlds and folds them gently away again.

And through all of it, not one speck ever clings to it.

The One is playing every part in the story, and nothing sticks to it.
The deeper layer

The One plays every part, and nothing clings to the One.

Aapay gopee aapay kaanaa: You Yourself are the milkmaid, and You Yourself are Krishna, even the one grazing the cows. Aap upaaveh aap khapaaveh: making and folding away are the One's own motion. Tudh layp nahee ik til: not one speck sticks to You.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you notice the same One showing up in different places?
