Let Truth be your prayer, and faith your prayer-mat.

Let your body be the mosque, and your mind the priest. Let true purity be God's Word for you. ||2||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Let truth itself be your prayer, and sure trust the mat you kneel on.
Quiet the grabbing wants, and loosen the tight grip of always needing more.
Let your own body be the mosque, your mind the one who leads the prayer, and a clean and honest life be the holy words you live by.
The holiest building you own is the body you are standing in.
The outer forms of worship turn inward. Nivaaj (namaz) becomes truth; the muslaa (prayer-mat) becomes 'yakeen', sure trust; the masjid (mosque) becomes the body; the maulaanaa becomes the mind.
A Question to Sit With
How would you act if your own heart were a place of worship?
