God Is Everywhere, That Is the Worship

Let your daily worship be the knowledge that God is everywhere.

Let renunciation of evil actions be the water-jug you carry.

Let realization of the One Lord God be your call to prayer; be a good child of God - let this be your trumpet. ||10||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Let your daily practice be simply knowing the One is everywhere.

Let leaving harm behind be the water-jug you always carry.

Let seeing the One in all things be your call to prayer, and being a good-hearted child of the One be the song you sound out.

If the One is everywhere, then noticing that is itself the prayer.
The deeper layer

The wazifa (daily devotion), the water-jug of the wanderer, the bang (call to prayer), and the burgoo (horn) are all turned inward. Worship becomes awareness of the One everywhere, and goodness of heart.

A Question to Sit With

Where did you notice something quietly sacred today?
