One who is unattached like the bumble bee, sees the Lord of the world everywhere.

The diamond of his mind is pierced through with the Diamond of the Lord's Name; O Nanak, his neck is embellished with it. ||2||

Free and unattached like the little bee, such a heart sees the One everywhere it looks.
The diamond of its mind is pierced right through by the diamond of the Name.
Nanak says: such a heart wears the Naam like a jewel at the throat, bright and unmistakable.
Only something as precious as the Name can hold the jewel of the mind.
A shalok of the First Mehl. Only a diamond can cut a diamond: only the Name is precious and hard enough to pierce and hold the jewel-like mind. The unattached bee (from Pauree 8's shalok) reappears, seeing the One everywhere.
