ਤੂ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਆਵਹੀ ॥
too paarbarahm parmaysar jon na aavhee.
O Supreme Lord God, O Transcendent Lord, You do not take birth.
ਤੂ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਸਾਜਹਿ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਹੀ ॥
too hukmee saajeh sarisat saaj samaavahee.
By the Hukam of Your Command, You formed the Universe; forming it, You merge into it.
ਤੇਰਾ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਲਖਿਆ ਕਿਉ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੀ ॥
tayraa roop na jaa-ee lakhi-aa ki-o tujheh Dhi-aavahee.
Your Form cannot be known; how can one meditate on You?
ਤੂ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਵਰਤਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਦੇਖਾਵਹੀ ॥
too sabh meh varteh aap kudrat daykhaavahee.
You are pervading and permeating all; You Yourself reveal Your creative potency.
ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਹੀ ॥
tayree bhagat bharay bhandaar tot na aavhee.
Your treasures of devotional worship are overflowing; they never decrease.
ਏਹਿ ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਾਵਹੀ ॥
ayhi ratan javayhar laal keem na paavhee.
These gems, jewels and diamonds - their value cannot be estimated.
ਜਿਸੁ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਵਹੀ ॥
jis hoveh aap da-i-aal tis satgur sayvaa laavhee.
As You Yourself become merciful, Lord, You link us to the service of the True Guru.
ਤਿਸੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਤੋਟਿ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੀ ॥੩॥
tis kaday na aavai tot jo har gun gaavhee. ||3||
One who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, never suffers any deficiency. ||3||

O highest One, You are never born and never leave.
By the flow of Your will You shaped the universe, and then You blend right back into it. Your form is beyond knowing, so how could I hold You still enough to picture?
Your treasures of love overflow and never run low, and anyone who sings Your praises never comes up short.
The more love you give away, the more you have.
The One is unborn (ajooni): the ground everything rises from and returns to. Hukam is the flow of existence. The 'gems and jewels' are the endless riches of devotion, which grow rather than shrink as you spend them.
