In plain words

You are True, my Master, and You hold up everything that is true.

You made this whole world as a home for anyone who turns toward the light. You made the great teachers and the holy books, the sun and the countless kinds of living things.

No one can measure how vast You are — and You Yourself help us find the way home.

The One you love up close is the same One who made everything.
The deeper layer

From the close love-song, the eyes lift to the widest view: the same Beloved is the Maker of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, of the Vedas and the nine regions. Gurmukh means one who faces the Guru. The Hindu picture of the universe is honored here as the One's own handiwork.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you see something too big to measure?
