Those who are in love with the One Lord, are the supreme people. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

See: the one who has let the grasping self quiet down is the one who lives.

Those in love with the One are the most fully alive of all.

When the grasping self goes quiet, you become the most alive.
The deeper layer

A Dakhanay shalok and the Vaar's clearest statement of the 'die to live' teaching, kept entirely inward and hopeful. To 'die' is for the ego to fall quiet; the reward is not loss but the fullest, most awake kind of life. Being in love with the One is being most alive.

A Question to Sit With

When do you feel the most fully, completely alive?
