I remain attached to the Lord's Feet, and eradicate self-conceit from within. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Let my past stumbles be gently forgiven, and set my feet on a good path.

Let me stay close, resting at Your feet, letting my puffed-up pride quietly dissolve.

A fresh start feels possible when I set down the heavy self and simply turn toward You.

A fresh start begins the moment you set down your pride and turn.
The deeper layer

A clean start (pichhle gunah bakhsaa-ay) comes through mercy, the mercy that places me on the Path. The inner move is aap gavaa-ay, letting the self-conceit dissolve. Forgiveness here is a doorway to walking better from now on.

A Question to Sit With

What would a fresh start look like for you today?
