Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My mind, day and night, meditate on the Naam.

Hold to the Guru's word, and sing the praises of the One, day and night.

A quiet song of remembrance, kept going, tunes a whole life.
The deeper layer

An-din, day and night, makes remembrance continuous, woven through ordinary time rather than saved for special moments. Meditating on the Word (bachan) and singing praise (gun gaa-o) keep the heart tuned. The practice is warm and constant.

A Question to Sit With

What is a good thought or phrase you could keep humming through your day?
