I inquire about the commodity of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. Is there anyone who can show me the wealth, the capital of the Lord?

I am filled with the Love of my Beloved; how can I meet my Friend, and merge with Him? ||1||

In plain words

I keep asking, who can show me the true wealth, the Name?

I would give my whole self to the one who leads me to it. My heart is full of love for the One I love - how can I meet my Friend?

Wanting to find what is real is the first step toward finding it.
The deeper layer

Someone is looking hard for the Name, the way you might hunt for a treasure.

Poonjee naam means the Name as capital, the money a shop needs to get started. The seeker keeps asking: who can show me this wealth? Then comes a very old, very strong way of saying "I would give anything." The seeker would give their whole self to the one who leads them to the One.

Think of someone who helps you find your lost dog. You would hug them and say, "I owe you everything!" The heart is full of love. It asks, ki-o sajan milai: how can I meet my Friend? Sajan means a dear friend, and here the Friend is the One.

A Question to Sit With

Who could you ask when you want to learn something that matters?
