ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਸਗਲ ਭੈ ਖੋਏ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਚਰਣ ਓਟਾਈ ॥
nirbha-o bha-ay sagal bhai kho-ay gobid charan otaa-ee.
I have become fearless; all fear has departed. The feet of the Lord of the Universe are my only Shelter.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੪॥੬॥
naanak jas gaavai thaakur kaa rain dinas liv laa-ee. ||4||6||
Nanak sings the Praises of his Lord and Master; night and day, he is lovingly focused on Him. ||4||6||

I have become fearless; every fear has slipped away, with the One's feet as my only shelter.
Nanak sings his Master's praise, day and night, his love fixed on Him.
When the One is your shelter, fear quietly lets go.
The heart becomes fearless (nirbhau) and every fear slips away, with the One as its only shelter. Nanak's signature closes it.
