Mother, whom can I tell about this ache inside me?
Without the One, my heart cannot be at rest. How can I comfort it, Mother?
Some aches are love, pointing you toward what you long for.
Baydan, the ache of longing for the One, is itself a form of love: the heart's homing signal. Naming the longing honestly is part of the practice, and the ache itself points the way to the One who eases it.
A Question to Sit With
What do you long for in a way that shows how much you love it?
