By Guru's Grace, Nanak speaks; meditation on the Lord is the essence of spiritual wisdom. ||2||1||24||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Pain and lack and fear lose their grip, and a settled peace moves in.
By the Guru's grace, Nanak says: to keep the One near is the heart of all wisdom.
Keeping the One near is the heart of all wisdom.
Pain, lack and fear lose their grip, and peace moves in.
Dookh deen na bha-o bi-aapai — pain, need and fear cannot take hold. Milai sukh bisraam — you find peace and a place to rest. Think of a warm house in a storm. The wind still blows outside, but you are safe inside.
Gur parsaad naanak bakhaanai — by the Guru's grace, Nanak speaks. Har bhajan tat gi-aan — remembering the One with love is tat gi-aan, the heart of all wisdom.
