Renounce your self-conceit, and the fever shall depart; become the dust of the feet of the Holy.

He alone receives Your Name, Lord, whom You bless with Your Mercy. ||1||

Let go of the tight, self-important "me," and the fever it causes cools right down.
Become humble and low like the dust at the feet of holy people. The Naam comes to the one You bless with Your kindness.
Let go of the tight "me," and the fever cools.
Renounce self-conceit and the taap (fever) departs — a healing image that fits Maaroo well. Becoming low like dust is how the Name comes to a heart.
