Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In the warm awe of the Guru, my pride quietly loosens and slips away, all on its own.

And then I recognize the One I belong to, and how wonderful that is. Meeting the One, I find a peace so deep there are not words big enough for it.

In awe of the Guru, pride loosens without a fight.
The deeper layer

Gaarab chhodiaa, pride released, comes through gur kai bhai, reverent awe, sahj subhaaee, naturally and easily. Realizing the khasam, the Beloved, brings a peace beyond price, keemat kahan na jaaee.

A Question to Sit With

When has letting go of pride brought you unexpected peace?
