ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਮਨਹੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ ਨਿਤ ਦੇਵੈ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਇਆ ॥
so ki-o manhu visaaree-ai nit dayvai charhai savaa-i-aa.
How could we forget Him from our minds? The gifts which he bestows increase day by day.
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਤਿਨੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jee-o pind sabh tis daa saahu tinai vich paa-i-aa.
Soul and body, all belong to Him; He infused the breath into us.
ਜਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥
jaa kirpaa karay taa sayvee-ai sayv sach samaa-i-aa. ||4||
If he shows His Mercy, then we serve Him; serving Him, we merge in Truth. ||4||

How could I ever forget the One, when the gifts keep coming, more each day?
My body and breath, all of it was given, the very breath in me placed there by the One. When that kindness touches me, I answer with love, and in serving I melt into what is true.
The gifts never stop growing; gratitude is the natural answer.
Nit devai charhai savaa-i-aa: the Giver keeps giving, more and more each day. Jee-o pind sabh tis daa: body and soul are the One's, and the breath is placed within us. Serving flows from kirpaa, grace.
