Within the Lord's slave, there is no virtue at all; the Lord's slave is totally unworthy.

There is no Giver as great as You, Lord; You alone are the Forgiver.

Your slave obeys the Hukam of Your Command; this is the most excellent action. ||6||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
I come with empty hands: I cannot boast of my own goodness, and that is okay.
There is no Giver as great as You, and no kindness like Yours. The best thing I can do is simply move with the flow of life You set in motion, and that is enough.
You do not need to boast of goodness; moving with the flow is enough.
Laalai vich gun kichh nahee: the servant comes with empty hands, with no goodness to boast of. Tudh jevad daataa ko nahee: no Giver as great. Tera hukam laalaa mannai: aligning inwardly with the hukam, the flow, is the karnee saar, the finest action. Mannai means accepting from the inside.
A Question to Sit With
What feels better: proving you are good, or simply doing the next right thing?
