ਸਚੇ ਸੰਦਾ ਸਦੜਾ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
sachay sandaa sad-rhaa sunee-ai gur veechaar.
I have heard the True Lord's message, contemplating the Guru.
ਸਚੇ ਸਚਾ ਬੈਹਣਾ ਨਦਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥੬॥
sachay sachaa baihnaa nadree nadar pi-aar. ||6||
True is the home of the True Lord; by His Gracious Grace, I love Him. ||6||

I grew still and listened, and the True One's message reached me as I reflected on the Guru.
True and lasting is the home of the True One. And by grace, freely given, love wakes up in me.
Deep listening opens the door, and grace lights the love inside.
Listening to the True One's message wakes love in the heart.
Sachay sandaa sadrhaa sunee-ai is deep listening to the True One's call, through gur veechaar, reflecting on the Guru. The home of the True is itself sachaa, true and lasting, and grace (nadree nadar) awakens love. Listening prepares the ground; grace grows the flower.
