Cloudy Thinking Clears, and Love Flows

ਸੰਜੋਗੀ ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਮੇਲਾ ਹੋਵੈ ॥
sanjogee Dhan pir maylaa hovai.
By good destiny, the soul-bride is united with her Husband Lord.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਖੋਵੈ ॥
gurmat vichahu durmat khovai.
Following the Guru's Teachings, she eradicates her evil-mindedness from within.

rang si-o nit ralee-aa maanai apnay kant pi-aaree jee-o. ||3||
With love, she continually enjoys pleasure with Him; she becomes the beloved of her Husband Lord. ||3||

In plain words

Something lucky happens when a heart finds the One: it feels welcomed home.

Following the Guru's teaching, cloudy and unkind thoughts clear away, and a steady joy takes their place.

When cloudy thinking clears, a steady joy is what remains.
The deeper layer

Sanjogee — by a fortunate union — the soul meets the Beloved. Through gurmat, the Guru's teaching, durmat, cloudy or unkind thinking, is cleared from within. What remains is rang si-o nit ralee-aa, a steady daily joy. Change comes the way clouds part to let warmth through.

A Question to Sit With

When a bad mood lifts, what does the clearer feeling underneath it feel like?
