Constantly singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the World, O Nanak, God becomes merciful to us. ||8||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whoever comes to rest at the feet of the Beautiful One finds their heart tuned to love.

Nanak says: sing the praises of the One who holds the world, every day, and the One is merciful to us.

Come near and sing, and mercy meets you.
The deeper layer

Everything gathers here: be like the tree, earth, sky, sun, wind, and fire, and above all, draw near and sing. Grace answers the one who turns toward it.

A Question to Sit With

What is a song, or a feeling, that draws your heart toward love?
