Says Nanak, the Guru has revealed this miracle; within my mind, I enjoy the Lord, Har, Har. ||8||2||5||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Nanak says: the Guru has shown me a quiet wonder:
deep within my own mind, I find the joy of the One.
The greatest wonder is found quietly within.
At the close, everything turns inward.
Gur chalat dikhaa-i-aa: "the Guru has shown me a wonder." And where is the wonder? Not far away. It is man maDhay, right inside my own mind, where I enjoy the One.
Think of searching the whole house for the cat, and then finding her curled up asleep in your own lap.
Remember the invitation at the start: "Please come into the home of my heart." Here it comes true. The Beloved was invited in, and now the joy is found inside.
