Stitched to the Heart Without a Thread

bin taagay bin soo-ee aanee man har bhagtee sang seevnaa. ||5||
Sew devotional worship to the Lord into the mind, without any needle or thread. ||5||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Stitch your love for the One right into your mind,

a stitching that needs no needle and no thread.

Love can hold a life together with no visible thread.
The deeper layer

Love for the One can be stitched into the heart without a needle or thread.

Bin taagay bin soo-ee means without thread and without a needle. The stitching is invisible, but it is strong. It holds the pieces of a life together, and you cannot see a single seam.

Think of a best friend. No one can see what ties the two of you together, but you feel it every day. Bhagtee, loving devotion, is sewn into the heart like that.

A Question to Sit With

What holds your life together that no one can see?
