Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
There is a treasure so full it fills every corner of everything.
It is never far away; it is right here, woven through it all.
Only when I chase in every direction do I miss what is closest of all.
The best treasure is not far off; chasing everywhere is how we miss it.
The dhan (wealth) is the Name, the living presence of the One, sarab rahiaa bharpoor, filling everything. The manmukh, one who follows only their own restless will, imagines it is far off and goes chasing. The treasure was never distant; the chasing is what hides it.
