ਖਾਣੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥
khaanee banee tujheh samaanee.
The sources of creation and speech are contained within You, Lord.
ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸਭ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੀ ॥
jo deesai sabh aavan jaanee.
All that is seen, is coming and going.
ਸੇਈ ਸਾਹ ਸਚੇ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੧੩॥
say-ee saah sachay vaapaaree satgur boojh bujhaa-ee hay. ||13||
They are the true bankers and traders, whom the True Guru has inspired to understand. ||13||

Everything that grows and everything that is spoken lives inside You.
Whatever I can see is always coming and going, like passing clouds.
The wise ones understand this, and they trade only in what lasts.
Wise living means valuing what lasts over what quickly passes.
Everything seen is fleeting (aavan jaanee, coming and going), while all sources are held in the One. The true traders are those who invest in the lasting rather than the passing.
