ਕਾਲੁ ਬਿਕਾਲੁ ਭਏ ਦੇਵਾਨੇ ॥

Birth and death are meaningless, for those
ਸਬਦੁ ਸਹਜ ਰਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਮਾਨੇ ॥
sabad sahj ras antar maanay.
who enjoy the sublime celestial essence of the Shabad within their minds.
ਆਪੇ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਵਰਦਾਤਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਇ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥
aapay mukat taripat vardaataa bhagat bhaa-ay man bhaa-ee hay. ||15||
He Himself is the Giver of liberation, satisfaction and blessings, to those devotees who love Him in their minds. ||15||

For the one who tastes the sweetness of the true word deep inside, birth and death stop being scary; they are just doorways in one long journey.
You are the One who sets us free, who fills us up, who blesses us.
And You give it freely to every heart that loves You.
For a heart at peace, birth and death are doorways, not dangers.
For a heart that tastes the Shabad, birth and death lose their hold; they become doorways in one journey. Liberation, contentment, and blessing are freely given to the loving heart.
