ਸਾਚੀ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
saachee keerat saachee banee.
True is the Kirtan of His Praise, and True is the Word of His Bani.
ਹੋਰ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ॥
hor na deesai bayd puraanee.
I can see no other in the Vedas and the Puraanas.
ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਾਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਮੈ ਧਰ ਹੋਰ ਨ ਕਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥
poonjee saach sachay gun gaavaa mai Dhar hor na kaa-ee hay. ||15||
Truth is my capital; I sing the Glorious Praises of the True Lord. I have no other support at all. ||15||

Singing Your praise and speaking true words, this is what is real to me.
When I look into the old scriptures, it is You I find shining there.
Truth is the only treasure I carry; I sing of You, and I lean on nothing else.
Read rightly, every true page points back to the One.
Look into the Vedas and the Puranas and no other is seen there: rightly read, the scriptures point to the One. Truth (saach) becomes the whole capital and support of a life.
