ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਈ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੈ ॥

ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਾਚੈ ਤਖਤਿ ਵਡਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੨॥
sach naam sachee vadi-aa-ee saachai takhat vadaa-ee hay. ||2||
There was the True Name, the glorious greatness of the Truth, and the glory of His true throne. ||2||

For countless ages, before there were any stars, there was only a vast, formless quiet.
In that stillness, You were resting, holding everything that would one day come to be.
Even then, the True Name was there, and the quiet glory of the One.
Even before the stars, the One and the Name were already there.
DhunDhookaar is the dark, formless state before anything was made: a vast quiet holding a whole universe in waiting. Before the stars, there were the One and the Naam.
