ਗੁਰ ਮਹਿ ਆਪੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰਤਾਰੇ ॥
gur meh aap rakhi-aa kartaaray.
The Creator Lord has enshrined Himself within the Guru.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਅਸੰਖ ਉਧਾਰੇ ॥
gurmukh kot asaNkh uDhaaray.
The Gurmukh saves countless millions.
ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਕਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥
sarab jee-aa jagjeevan daataa nirbha-o mail na kaa-ee hay. ||15||
The Life of the World is the Great Giver of all beings. The Fearless Lord has no filth at all. ||15||

You, the Maker, have placed Yourself inside the Guru.
Through the Guru, countless hearts are lifted up.
You are the life of the whole world, the Great Giver to every being, fearless and perfectly pure.
The One lives inside the Guru and lifts countless hearts.
The One is said to dwell within the Guru, and through the Guru to lift countless beings. Jagjeevan (life of the world) and nirbhau (fearless) gather up the Solha's themes into a picture of boundless, pure generosity.
