In plain words

Every single one of us comes asking at the Guru, Your great storehouse of gifts.

You are spotless, beyond knowing, and without any end.

Nanak says what is true, and asks with open hands: let Truth live in me, however You choose to give it.

We are all askers at the same great treasury, and truth is worth asking for.
The deeper layer

All beings come as askers to the Guru, the One's treasurer. Nanak asks for one thing only: that Truth (sach) live within him.

A Question to Sit With

If everyone is asking for something, what is the best thing to ask for?
