Death viciously kills the false beings.

The faithless cynic is ruined through falsehood and his egotistical mind.On the path of duality, he rots away and decomposes. ||6||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Let me set down what is false, the worthless clutter of my life.

Death strikes down what is false.

When I turn from my source and let pride steer, falsehood wears me away; pulled two ways at once, I waste away.

What is false cannot last; set it down.
The deeper layer

Chhodahu paraanee koorh kabaarhaa: set down falsehood and clutter. The saakat, the one turned away from the source, is caught in pride and pulled two ways at once (duhu maarag), split and stuck.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you could set down that is only cluttering your days?
