pir bin ki-aa tis Dhan seegaaraa.
Without her Husband Lord, what good are the soul-bride's decorations?
par pir raatee khasam visaaraa.
She has forgotten her Lord and Master, and is infatuated with another's husband.
ji-o baysu-aa poot baap ko kahee-ai ti-o fokat kaar vikaaraa hay. ||5||
Just as no one knows who is the father of the prostitute's son, such are the worthless, useless deeds that are done. ||5||

All the fine decorations in the world mean little if the heart has forgotten the One it loves.
It is easy to get swept up chasing things that shimmer but soon fade.
Work done only for what passes away leaves the hands empty in the end. Turn the heart back toward the One, and everything you do gains meaning.
Decorations without love are empty; love makes everything you do matter.
Pir bin ki-aa tis Dhan seegaaraa — without the Beloved, what good are a bride's decorations? Without love, decoration is hollow, and fokat kaar, effort spent only on what fades, leaves the hands empty. Turning back to the One gives everything meaning.
A Question to Sit With
What is something you do that feels meaningful because of the love behind it?
