Those who remain imbued with the Word of the True Guru's Shabad, renounce Maya, egotism and doubt. ||6||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Water and fire, air and earth and open space — these five simple things build the house of the body.

Within that house, all of us live out our days.

Those who stay soaked in the Word gently let go of grasping, of ego, and of nagging doubt — and the house fills with peace.

Your body is a house of five simple things, made peaceful by the Word.
The deeper layer

The body is a house of panch tat (five elements). Those soaked (rang raataa) in the True Guru's sabad let go of maa-i-aa, ha-umai (ego) and bharaataa (doubt).

A Question to Sit With

What helps your inner house feel calm and peaceful?
