Nanak offers this true prayer; gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, I have found peace. ||16||1||13||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Everything that exists is held inside the One.
The One watches over all of it, at home in the highest place.
Nanak says this honest prayer: just to catch a glimpse of the One fills me with peace.
One glimpse of the One is enough to make the heart calm.
A 'baynantee' is a humble prayer. 'Har darsan sukh': simply glimpsing the One (darshan) is itself the peace that is sought.
A Question to Sit With
What is a small glimpse of beauty that fills you with peace?
