He established the nine gates of this house, by His Command and His Will.

In the Tenth Gate, the Primal Lord, the unknowable and infinite dwells; the unseen Lord reveals Himself. ||3||

In plain words

Inside the fortress is a quiet cave, and it is your true home.

The One set up nine doorways in your body, arranged just so by the flow of existence, the natural way life is ordered.

And there is a tenth doorway, hidden and secret. Through it, the One who cannot be seen quietly lets you see.

There is a doorway in you the world never taught you to look for.
The deeper layer

The nine gates are the body's openings (eyes, ears, nostrils, mouth, and the two lower openings); the tenth is the inner spiritual eye. 'Hukam' is the flow of existence, the way life is naturally ordered.

A Question to Sit With

What is a quiet doorway inside you that you would like to spend more time near?
