ਊਤਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਿਰਾਲੇ ॥
ootam satgur purakh niraalay.
The True Guru, the Primal Being, is sublime and detached.
ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ॥
sabad ratay har ras matvaalay.
Attuned to the Word of the Shabad, He is intoxicated with the sublime essence of the Lord.
ਰਿਧਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੫॥
riDh buDh siDh gi-aan guroo tay paa-ee-ai poorai bhaag milaa-idaa. ||15||
Riches, intellect, miraculous spiritual powers and spiritual wisdom are obtained from the Guru; through perfect destiny, they are received. ||15||

The True Guru is a bright, free being, above the world's tugging.
Soaked in the Word, the Guru is joyful with the sweetness of the One.
Riches, clear thinking, deep skill, and wisdom all come as gifts through the Guru.
The truest riches are gifts that come through the Guru.
'Ridh budh sidh gian': wealth, intellect, spiritual powers and wisdom, all received through the Guru by 'poorai bhaag', good fortune. The truest riches are gifts, not conquests.
