In plain words

Wherever I turn my eyes, I find the Kind One, gentle with everyone who feels small.

The One never arrives and never leaves, never born and never gone, always here.

Hidden inside every living thing, the One quietly holds it all together. And still the One stays free, like a sky that touches everything yet belongs to nothing.

The same kindness that holds the whole world is here in this very moment.
The deeper layer

A Solhe is a long song of about sixteen verses. Two big ideas arrive together at its start.

First, the One is everywhere. Jah daykhaa tah deen da-i-aalaa: wherever I look, I see the Kind One. Deen da-i-aalaa means kind to the small and struggling.

Second, the One never dies. Aa-ay na jaa-ee: God does not come or go. That points to akaal, the deathless One, a presence that never changes.

Then comes a puzzle. Jee-aa andar jugat samaa-ee: the One lives inside every being. Yet rahi-o niraalam: the One stays free of all of it. Think of sunlight that touches every leaf yet belongs to no tree.

A Question to Sit With

Where have you noticed kindness show up when you least expected it?
