Imbued with the Lord's Ambrosial essence, he becomes a pure, detached renunciate; he is lovingly absorbed in the Guru's Teachings. ||8||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
A heart that has found the One no longer aches with hunger or thirst for more.
It sees the spotless One in every single heart, everywhere.
Soaked in that sweetness, it grows calm and free, gently at home in the Guru's wisdom.
When your heart is full of the One, the endless wanting quietly stops.
The hunger and thirst here are the endless wanting of a restless mind, which quiets once the heart is satisfied (man maani-aa). Ghat ghat means in each and every heart. Bairaagee here is a calm freedom, at home in the Guru's wisdom while living in the world.
A Question to Sit With
What is something that leaves you feeling full for a long time, not just briefly satisfied?
