In plain words

Some people have the Naam written on their foreheads from the very beginning.

Night and day, forever and ever, they remember the Naam, and they are honored in the One's True Court.

The Naam can be written into a life, and that life is honored.
The deeper layer

Those who keep the Naam close night and day are honored in the True Court.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Jin ka-o lilaat likhi-aa dhur naam: those who have the Naam written on their foreheads from the start. The forehead is an old picture for what a life is shaped by. An-din naam sadaa sadaa dhi-aavahi: night and day, forever, they remember the Naam. Saachee dargeh paavahi maan: they are honored in the True Court, the place where only what is true counts. Think of a name stitched inside a jacket: it goes everywhere the jacket goes.

A Question to Sit With

What is something so much a part of you that it feels written right into you?
