Imbued with the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they remain forever detached. They are honored in the True Court of the Lord. ||2||

In plain words

From the True Guru, they learn how the mind works. Night and day, their attention stays on the One, always.

Colored by the Guru's Word, they hold the world lightly, always. They are honored in the One's True Court.

Learning how your own mind works is the beginning of steadying it.
The deeper layer

The Guru shows you how your own mind works, and then your attention can rest on the One.

Man kee bidh satgur tay jaanai: from the True Guru one learns the ways of the mind. Gur sabad ratay sadaa bairaagee: colored by the Guru's Word, they stay bairaagee, holding the world lightly instead of gripping it. They are honored in the True Court. Think of learning how a bike works: once you know, you can ride it instead of being thrown off.

A Question to Sit With

What is one thing you have noticed about how your own mind works?
