She is the happy soul-bride of her Husband Lord; her mind and body are filled with joy by His Love. ||2||

In plain words

In easy, natural peace, the soul is dear to the Beloved, like a loved bride, once her mind is won over by the Guru's words.

With the One as her Beloved, she is a happy bride. In her mind and body, love feels sweet.

Feeling loved settles the mind into an easy, quiet joy.
The deeper layer

A mind won over by the Guru's words settles into ease, and feels loved.

Sahj sukhee means peace that comes easily and naturally, without forcing. It comes when gur bachnee man maani-aa, the mind trusts the Guru's words. Sohaagan is the happy bride, an old picture of the soul belonging to the One. Love fills mind and body.

Think of a child asleep in the back seat on the drive home. They are not working at feeling safe. They simply are.

A Question to Sit With

What makes you feel completely at ease and at home?
