Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My eyes are fixed on the One, Har, Har.

Seeing the True Guru, my mind blossoms like a flower. I have met the One, the Lord of the World.

When your attention rests on what you love, your whole mind opens like a flower.
The deeper layer

Seeing the Guru, your mind opens like a flower, and you meet the Lord of the World.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Nainee har har laagee taaree: my eyes are fixed on the One. It is like watching a beautiful sunset and not wanting to look away.

Satgur daykh mayraa man bigsi-o: seeing the True Guru, my mind bigsi-o, blossoms. It opens like a flower in the morning sun.

Jan har bhayti-o banvaaree: I have met banvaaree. The word means the One who looks after the forest, the gardener of the whole world. The seeker has finally met that Gardener.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you could look at happily for a long time?
