In plain words

All the beings and creatures the One has made — on each one's forehead, the One writes their destiny, the work each will do.

The One gives honor to the One's humble servant, and sets that servant to the One's own work.

Everyone is shaped for their own path and given work that matters.
The deeper layer

Everyone the One made is given their own work to do.

Jitnay jee-a jant parabh keenay — all the beings the One created. Titnay sir kaar likhaavai — on each one's forehead, their work is written. Each has a part to play in the great order of things, the One's hukam.

Think of a school play. Every child gets a part — lights, costumes, a line on stage. The play needs all of them.

Har jan ka-o har deen vadaa-ee — the One gives honor to the one who loves the One. Har jan har kaarai laavai — and sets that person to the One's own work. It is a calling.

A Question to Sit With

What is a kind of work, big or small, that feels like yours to do?
