The One's servants are our holy companions. Meeting them, doubt goes away.
Just as the swan picks the milk out of the water, the holy one picks the fire of ego out of the body.
Holy companions clear away doubt and lift the heat of ego out of you.
Har kay daas saadh sakhaa jan: the One's servants are our holy friends. Jin mili-aa leh jaa-ay bharaaNt: meeting them, bharaaNt, doubt, goes away.
Ji-o jal dudh bhinn bhinn kaadhai chun hansulaa: people long said the hansulaa, the swan, could sip the milk out of a bowl of milk and water and leave the water behind. Ti-o dayhee tay chun kaadhai saadhoo ha-umai taat: in the same way, the holy one picks the taat, the burning heat, of ha-umai out of a person. Ha-umai is ego, the feeling of being a separate self. Think of a friend who knows just what to say when you are boiling over, and the heat goes out of you.
