In plain words

Giving them this mind, I have made the saints my friends. They have been kind to me; I am very lucky.

I have found a great peace that I cannot describe. Nanak says: I have been given the dust of the feet of the humble.

The deepest peace often comes with the humblest place.
The deeper layer

Make friends with the saints, and you find a peace too big for words.

Ih man day-ay kee-ay sant meetaa: giving this mind, I made the saints my friends. Kirpaal bha-ay badbhaagee: they were kind to me, and I am very fortunate. Mahaa sukh paa-i-aa baran na saaka-o: I found a great peace I cannot describe. It is sahaj, the natural ease beyond words.

Rayn naanak jan paagee: Nanak has received the dust of the feet of the humble. To be the dust others walk on is an old picture of glad humility, letting go of ego completely. The treasure here is the friendship itself.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt a happiness so big it was hard to put into words?
